Northowram Fields CC Won

Match report Northowram Fields registered one of the biggest wins in their 100-year history when they thrashed an Adwalton side from two divisions lower by 246 runs in Sunday's Jack Hampshire Trophy first round.

Skipper Rob Larner led a run spree for the visitors on a small ground, following up his half-century in Saturday's first league defeat of the season at Wakefield St. Michael's with a knock of 148.

He and Botts (61) put on 180 for the first wicket and Scott Hadnum (70) and Ian Larner (32) also cut loose against a wilting attack.

The Rams piled up 354 for 6 off their 40 overs in spite of being without four regulars.

They then dismissed the hosts for 108 with young second team regular Matthew Lloyd taking 4 wickets and Gary Rodger and Thommo 3 apiece.
