Northowram Fields CC Sunday XI squad

Sunday XI Sunday XI

Captain : Sam Walker

Talks a very good game but won't fulfil his promise until he actually listens to what he's told.
Favourite Food Anything with the word ‘chocolate’ in it.
Dislikes Anything that is good for him
Nickname Bruce/Basil
Tom Barraclough
Left-arm medium pacer who's nothing like so fresh faced these days as the picture on the left might suggest. Still waiting for him to develop a nasty streak to go alongside his ability to swing the ball.
George Bickle
'Unconventional but very effective'. George played a LOT of cricket in 2018 and a return of over 250 runs in the middle order was a big help in the team securing promotion. He'll be older and wiser (surely) another year on.
Callum Philipson

Wow what a photo.

Daddy wasn't happy with the economy rate in 2018 but 31 league wickets still takes some doing and, if he stops being so hard on himself, he could get even more this year. Very, very rarely misses a game.

Todd Reeday
34 league wickets at an average of 11.5 in 2018 - outstanding numbers for one of his age. No reason why he won't be better again as he gets older and stronger, though likely to be in his mid-30s by the time he properly fills his frame.
Jacob Slator
A league average of 20 in 2018 doesn't tell the whole story by any means, Jacob given the task of opening the batting for most of the season and, for such a young 'un, impressing with the way he toughed it out at the top of the order on a number of occasions. He'll score plenty more in 2019 and has a happy knack of taking wickets when thrown the ball, too. Could do with applying more sun cream, even when it's cloudy.
